The Possibilities of Google Apps

Over the past decade, Google has expanded their app capabilities including Drive, Word, Slides, Sheets, Forms and more! These apps are a great way to create, share and publish work with peers and colleagues. There are several reasons to use Google Apps including accessibility, collaboration capabilities and innovation across all aspects of life.

Google Apps are easily accessible to most, if not all, individuals with a device and internet connection. Anyone can sign up for a Google account to use the different Google apps. Individuals can use Google Docs to create any type of documentation from research papers to personal journal entries. Google Sheets can be used to track data and organize figures for personal or professional use. Google Slides can be used for any type of presentation for different professions including education, business, social sciences, and health care. Any individual can access these apps and more for personal to professional settings.

Google Apps allow easy sharing between individuals. By using the share button, a Google Doc can go from a small idea to a large-scale project. This sharing capability has completely changed collaboration for the 21st century. Instead of editing, saving and sending, peers can work on a document at the same time. Edits can be made instantaneously while communicating in the “chat” feature or through commenting.

Google Apps has been innovative for this century and it has changed the way individuals create, connect and collaborate. There are many possibilities not just with the amounts of apps but there are several possibilities within each app. With Google Apps, individuals are able to expand their network and reach beyond their imagination. Google Apps can be considered the gold standard for communication and collaboration regardless of the setting or outcome.
